About Opportunity Training

Our major objective is to have available relevant Unit Standards for the industry to be able to upskill the workforce to a recognised level. To this end we have recently registered additional Unit Standards and we intend registering additional appropriate Units with NZQA to cover disciplines and to then start new entrants in these programmes.

New National Certificates have been registered and new National Diplomas.

Discussions will continue with all stakeholders to determine where further development of Unit Standards are required to ensure that the best available material is available for upskilling of the workforce.

Research has commenced on the effectiveness of all training programmes and once completed meetings of the stakeholders will be arranged to review, modify and act on the research data.
