Organisational Structure

Opportunity organization structure.

Opportunity Training Board:
Elected from nominated industry representatives to direct and oversee Opportunity Training in a governing role.
Chief Executive:
Appointed by the Board to manage the day to day administration of Opportunity Training and coordinate committee activities.
Administrative Support:
Appointed by the Chief Executive to provide administrative services to Opportunity Training.
Training Providers & Private Training Establishments:
Approved by the Moderation Committee and accredited by the Board following an application and a successful audit of their organisation's facilities, training capabilities and management systems.
Training Coordinators:
Appointed by a Training Provider to supervise the organisation's training programme and to communicate with Opportunity Training.
Assessors Committee:
Appointed by the Board to ensure that effective assessment instruments are in place, to manage assessment processes and to appoint Assessors.
Assessors:
Approved by the Assessors Committee and appointed by the Board following an application and a successful review of their qualifications, experience, character, and the completion of induction training.
Moderation Committee:
Appointed by the Board to manage the moderation processes. A National Moderator appointed by the Directors chairs this committee.
Local Moderators:
Industry representatives from around the country who are the members of the Moderation Committee.
Policy Committee:
Appointed by the Board to develop and maintain effective unit standards and qualifications to meet the needs of industry.
Appeals Committee:
Appointed by the Board as necessary to arbitrate where any assessment or approval decision is appealed. The committee shall consist of no less than three persons acceptable to all parties. The National Moderator chairs this committee.
