Criteria for Accreditation as an Assessor

• have attained credit in the NZQA unit standard/s that they wish to assess
• have attained credit in NZQA unit standard 4098 - Assess adult candidates using supplied assessment procedures;
• be suitably experienced, and of good character.
• be able to carry out assessments in an objective, unbiased and impartial manner.
• have good depth of experience with cranes and lifting equipment in industry.
• have administration systems in place that ensure assessment details and trainee achievements are accurately recorded and forwarded to Opportunity Training and may be produced as evidence of assessments for moderation purposes.
• make all reasonable efforts to be available to carry out assessments within the scope of the approval at times and places agreed upon between Opportunity Training and the assessor.
• provide suitable evidence of the above for moderation purposes.
