Training Providers

Opportunity Training shall encourage the application and approval of sufficient training providers to ensure that trainees wishing to develop their skills in working with cranes are not unduly restricted from doing so by lack of training providers.

Two types of training providers shall be accredited:

• Workplace Training Providers: Employers who provide on job training in the requirements of specific unit standards for their employees normally during day to day operations.
• Registered Private Training Establishments (PTE): Training establishments that provide off job training and assessment of competency in specific unit standards for trainees who are not necessarily their employees.
