Criteria for Accreditation as A Training Provider
- The training provider organisation shall have access to suitable cranes and lifting equipment to provide "on job" training of the unit standards for which they have applied to be accredited.
- The training provider organisation shall employ a training coordinator who shall supervise the training programme and ensure that trainees receive instruction from personnel with relevant skills and knowledge.
- The training coordinator shall have the necessary experience in the industry and have effective people skills.
- The training provider organisation shall employ people who are skilled and qualified to deliver training in the specific requirements of the unit standards.
- The training provider organisation shall have documented management systems. These shall outline training methods and methods by which trainee details and achievements shall be recorded. The records shall be kept in such a form that they may be produced as evidence of training for assessments and for moderation purposes.
- A private training establishment shall have NZQA registration.
- A workplace training provider shall have established a commitment from an accredited private training establishment for the delivery of "off job" training components if applicable.
- The training provider organisation shall provide suitable evidence of the above on request for accreditation and for any subsequent moderation process by Opportunity Training.
