Training Provider Accreditation Process

The Opportunity Training moderation committee shall assess a training provider on the basis of the application details and a moderation report.

The applicant shall be advised in writing of the outcome of the accreditation process.

Following accreditation, a training provider may enter into training agreements with trainees, and deliver training for unit standards within the scope of the approval.

The nature of the industry and the skills required necessitate the use of specific capital equipment in training and assessment of competency for most of the unit standards. This fact may limit the ability of Private Training Establishments to deliver training in unit standards at the higher levels.

Training Provider accreditation shall remain in place subject to successful ongoing moderation reviews.
