Getting Started
The Employer and the Trainee enter into a Training Agreement which is linked to an employment contract.
The period of training does not have a predetermined length.
The Training Agreement provides that where a Trainee does not achieve at least 20 credits each year towards the qualifications being studied for, Opportunity Training may cease to recognise the Training Agreement. Any such action by Opportunity Training does not necessarily affect the employment relationship.
The Training Agreement is deemed to be complete once the National Certificate being studied for is gained.
A Training Agreement is important to the Trainee, as it provides an outline of the training activity, what the training leads to, and who will pay for what. A Training Agreement is also important to the Employer as it provides an outline of the proposed training activity, what the training leads to, and who will pay for what.
